In 2004 the Grand Haven Offshore Challenge teamed up with the Grand Haven Area Community Foundation to produce the Grand Haven Offshore Challenge Scholarship Fund. Presented to a graduating senior from the Grand Haven, Ferrysburg or Spring Lake area High Schools who wishes to pursue a career in natural resources, such as fisheries, wildlife, and environmental water quality at any public or private college or university.   To date five, scholarships totaling $5,000 have been awarded.
